Kai celebrated his 7 month birthday almost 2 weeks ago, which we are still in shock about.
It's been a very eventful 3 months!
April
-started sitting up
-discovered his feet. Or rather, he finally was able to reach them over his chubby little gut!
-finally rolled from back to belly
May
-got his first tooth (bottom left) and then 10 days later got the one next to it! Kai was a total rock star with teething...we were dreading it based on horror stories we had heard from other parents, but besides the excessive drool and knawing on everything in sight, we had no idea that teeth were ready to pop through. I almost feel a little guilty about how easy we have it with him!!
-had his first trip to New York City and first overnight in a hotel! We went to celebrate our anniversary and his half year birthday. We got pictures taken in Central Park and then went to the zoo. He absolutely loved all the sights and sounds in the city!
Kai is a rolling machine now- gone are the days of putting him down on a blanket with some toys and just peeking on him every few minutes- he's all over the room! And over the last 2weeks he has started getting up on his hands and knees and scooting backwards! Poor little guy, he gets so frustrated! He sees something he wants to get, and doesn't seem to understand how he keeps getting farther and farther away from it LOL
We've got quite a few sounds now- lala, dada, baba, goo, oh, ee. I've been working on mama (even gone as far as to physically prompt his lips!) but he just laughs at me!
Alright, picture overload!

Very first time at the beach!!

One morning Kai scooted backwards under his Pack 'n Play while I was washing dishes! Hence the reason why he can't be left unattended anymore!

Vinny's Father's Day lobster dinner at Indian Wells (and Kai's first time at the ocean. He loved hearing the waves crash):

Seriously you guys, that child is so unbelievably cute. I know you already knew that, but come on! I see a lot of kids with my job and K is just so striking. So happy to see you all so happy. Hope to see you soon. xo
